My publicist

I am so honored that you think of me so often in a day.
You always notice every little thing I say
Going around telling the world about me
Remember everything I do
Comment on everything from my hair to my shoe

I  never wished for this kind of popularity
I never asked for any kind of charity
Believe me I’m taking it all in
I’m excited about it surely
I’m basking in its glory

I do have to say that I pity the ones who deserve the attention I get
Because when you spend so much time on me, it is them you forget
So if I might speak for them, on their behalf
Stop focusing on me and my accomplishments
And take a good look at yourself and your acquaintances
